I use the following depending on adventure:

Hyperlite - Headwall 55 (alpine) This can be used for multi-day or single day, although I find it slightly overkill for single unless a lot of gear is needed for your trek.

Hyperlite - Junction 3400 (thru-hike, dry-hike, have used for alpine, but I don’t recommend for alpine use). I have the black version as the DHC is higher and can take a beating.

Mammut - Aenergy ST 20-25 (backcountry skiing, light and fast summer) This is a new pack to me, but I do love it for short and sweet tours. It has back access and the access for avy gear is super easy and quick. Very light and has trail runner style chest straps. Can carry skis. This item seems to be sold out, but if you find it, it’s a great purchase for the cost.

BCA - Stash 20 (backcountry skiing) Good sturdy pack, more heavy duty and seems to hold a good amount. Carries skis better than the Mammut pack.
